SPSS Workshop JPG

This workshop will focus on regression analysis, which is an essential multivariate data analysis technique commonly used by researchers. The workshop content begins with a discussion in preparing the codebook and how to carry out data screening to make sure the data used are suitable for the data analysis. This workshop also will guide the participants on how to check the reliability of measures, evaluate the effectiveness of any manipulations, examine the distributions of individual variables, and identify outliers. Then, the workshop will proceed with a discussion on multiple linear regression, hierarchical multiple regressionmediation regression, and moderated regression using SPSS. Hands-on exercises will also be conducted to better understand how to do them. Participants are welcome to bring their own data for the hands-on activities.

About Facilitator

Dr. Ida Rosnita Ismail is a senior lecturer at Graduate School of Business, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. She is also an Associate Fellow at the Institute of IR 4.0 UKM and an International Guest Researcher at the Institute of HRMO, Hamburg University of Technology, Germany. She received her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B Hons.) from University of Wales Aberystwyth, United Kingdom and MBA from Universiti Utara Malaysia. She also received a Master in Laws (LL.M) and her Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. In July 2014, she went to Hamburg University of Technology, Germany, to pursue her post-doctoral study under the direct supervision of Prof. Dr. Christian M. Ringle, for 18 months. Her major research interests include misbehavior at workplace, positive work behavior, and human resource management issues.
